Produced in southern Ethiopia, specifically in East Guji—just 17 kilometres from Adola town—this coffee is cultivated at high altitudes of over 1,980 m.a.s.l.
Grown exclusively as 100% Arabica, the cherries are harvested beginning in November and processed using multiple methods, including Fully Washed, Natural, Anaerobic, Honey, and Carbonic Maceration at a dedicated 3-hectare washing station. The Awata River, provides the water for processing, contributing to the coffee’s exceptional quality. The washing station, features 200 drying beds and covered fermentation tanks, ensuring optimal conditions for the beans. Sourced from a community of 1,980 farmers . The coffees holds certifications such as CAFE PRACTICES, Rainforest Alliance (RFA), and Organic, guaranteeing adherence to strict environmental and social standards.
Beyond coffee production, the washing station owned by Muje Coffee has made a meaningful impact on the community by constructing two underground water sources, providing clean and safe drinking water—a vital contribution to the well-being of local resident.
