Founded in 2017, with just 29 dedicated member farms, the Asociacion de Productores Agropecuarios y Comercializadores de Sandiago Perez (ASOSPAC) has grown into a thriving community of 50 smallholder coffee producers. This nonprofit organisation champions rural development and the socio-economic wellbeing of its members through collective action and innovation. One of ASOSPAC’s greatest strengths is its commitment to training producers in sustainable practices, enabling them to achieve premium prices through certifications like Fair Trade and Organic. These efforts not only improve income at the farm level, but also help build a more inclusive, equitable future, encouraging the next generation of young coffee farmers to carry on the legacy of responsible, high-quality production.
